- Consider filtering data if exports are very large
- Use descriptive file names or rename after download
- Organize exports by period or date in folders
- Keep exports for compliance and record-keeping
- Back up important exports to secure storage
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Export file is empty or missing data
Verify that the selected period contains data. Check that entries are not filtered out. Try exporting a different period to confirm the issue.
CSV file doesn't open correctly in Excel
Excel may need encoding adjustment. Try opening Excel first, then use Data > Get Data > From File > From Text/CSV and select UTF-8 encoding.
Export is taking too long
Large datasets may take time to export. Try narrowing the date range or period. For very large exports, consider splitting into multiple periods.
PDF export has formatting issues
Ensure you have the latest version of your PDF reader. Try opening in a different PDF viewer. Contact support if formatting problems persist.
Can't find the export option
Export options are available in the Reports > Export tab, or from specific pages like Input VAT, Output VAT, or Returns. Check that you have the appropriate permissions.
