Introduction

Scheduled reports allow you to automate the generation and delivery of reports in bVAT. Instead of manually creating reports each period, you can set up schedules that automatically generate reports and email them to you and your team.

This feature is particularly useful for:

  • Regular monthly or quarterly VAT summaries
  • Weekly vendor analysis reports
  • Automated compliance documentation
  • Regular business insights

Setting Up Scheduled Reports

Step-by-Step Setup
Follow these steps to configure scheduled reports

1Navigate to Reports Settings

  • Go to the Reports page from the main navigation
  • Click on the "Settings" or "Scheduled Reports" tab
  • Review available scheduling options
  • Note: Scheduled reports feature is currently in development

2Select Report Type

  • Choose the type of report you want to schedule
  • Available options include:

  • Select the specific report configuration

3Configure Schedule

  • Choose the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Select the day and time for report generation
  • For monthly reports, choose the day of the month
  • Set the time zone for schedule execution
  • Configure the date range or period for the report

4Set Up Email Delivery

  • Enter email addresses for report delivery
  • Add multiple recipients if needed
  • Choose the report format (CSV, PDF, Excel)
  • Configure email subject and message
  • Test email delivery to ensure it works

5Activate Schedule

  • Review all settings before activating
  • Click "Save" or "Activate" to enable the schedule
  • Confirm the schedule is active
  • You'll receive a confirmation email
  • Monitor the first scheduled report to verify it works

Common Issues & Troubleshooting

Scheduled report not received

Check your email spam folder. Verify the email address is correct in settings. Check that the schedule is still active. Review the schedule execution logs if available.

Report contains incorrect data

Verify the date range or period configuration. Check that VAT entries are complete for the selected period. Review the report filters and ensure they match your requirements.

Schedule not executing

Verify the schedule is active and not paused. Check the schedule time and time zone settings. Ensure bVAT services are running normally. Contact support if the issue persists.

Want to change schedule frequency

Go to Reports Settings and edit the scheduled report. Update the frequency and timing. Save the changes. The new schedule will take effect for the next report generation.
